Learning A-Z Teacher Workshop was hosted on 14th May. We are glad to meet all of you at the workshop. Our workshop objectives are to help teachers discover how background knowledge is influencing how students approach reading comprehension and understand how Hong Kong’s initiative for reading across the curriculum supports the building of background knowledge.
We were glad to invite Ms. Jennifer Nigh, the director of International Academics and Curriculum from Learning A-Z, to share her rich experience on English teaching. Ms. Jennifer is an experienced U.S. educator and literacy specialist. Her mission is to empower educators around the world with the knowledge, resources, and research that can help every student reach their fullest potential. On the workshop, Ms. Jennifer shared a lot of her experience on teaching reading, how to encourage – students to read, also the way to tailor different learning needs in the classroom. She also showed how to get good use of Raz-Plus resources on English lessons too.
We hope that all teachers can get good use of Raz-Plus to carry out English lessons and enhance students’ reading skills, as well as inspiring teachers with some new teaching ideas.
