Engineering is Elementary® (EiE®) is an awarded, classroom-tested and research-based curriculum project of the National Center for Technological Literacy® (NCTL®) at the Museum of Science, Boston. It supports educators and children with curricula and professional development that develop engineering literacy.
EiE integrates engineering with science and improves student understanding of technology.
EiE introduces the E in the “STEM” education. It aims to increase students’ interest in and confidence about engineering and technology. EiE also introduces “Engineering Design Process” to students and trains up their problem solving skills by interesting and engaging engineering challenges.
EiE is suitable for pre-school to middle school students. It provides curriculum plans, worksheets, teacher guides and training to teachers. It inspires hands-on engineering and innovation in today’s classroom. All of its curriculums follow international standard and Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS).
